NATO remains United to support Ukraine

On 12th July, 2023, during the two day NATO summit in Vilnius, Lithuania, Volodymyr zelenskyy (Ukrainian President) held a very productive meeting with Joe Biden (US President).

The Ukrainian President addressed that the meeting ended on a very meaningful note with the vision of their common victory in the war. The meeting was twice as long as it was supposed to be and had it not been for the protocol it would've lasted longer. They discussed long term support, weapons and politics.

On Wednesday, a very meaningful and Powerful meeting held between US and Ukrainian Presidents led to the depiction of a strong NATO alliance in support of Zelenskyy in the war against Russia.

Zelenskyy also appreciated US's cooperation with Ukraine, side by side for defense against aggression. In the meaningful, powerful meeting as quoted by the President, he discussed in detail the situation on the frontline, their capabilities, further long-term defense cooperation and internal Russian processes given the recent events. He personally thanked POTUS (President of United States), the Congress and the American citizens for the vitally important military, financial and political assistance provided to Ukraine since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion.

At the end of the two day NATO Summit, Joe Biden, POTUS, addressed that they stand strong in support of Ukraine in this war and will continue to do so in the future as well. He mentioned that they will not waver. The US has also built a coalition of more than 50 nations to make sure that Ukraine is able to defend itself in the present along with the future.

Even after nearly a year and a half of war, Ukraine has been standing notably strong, free and independent. Biden stressed that everyone wants the war to end on just terms which withholds the basic principles of the United Nations Charter.

The Russian President's expectations to see the NATO alliance breaking down seems to be unfulfilled as it still stands strong in support of Ukraine. This was very clearly depicted by the two hour long US Ukraine meeting in NATO Summit, Lithuania.
