Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrapped up his fruitful two-day visit to France and headed to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Saturday. During his stay in France, he engaged in extensive discussions with French President Emmanuel Macron and received the Grand Cross of the Legion of Honour, the nation's highest civilian and military distinction.

 

Upon bidding farewell to France, PM Modi expressed his gratitude for the successful visit, which marked the beginning of a new era in the relationship between India and France. He then boarded the plane for Abu Dhabi, commencing the next leg of his journey, as stated by the Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson, Arindam Bagchi, via Twitter.

As PM Modi arrives in Abu Dhabi for his day-long visit, energy, food security, and defense are expected to be the key areas of focus. The strategic partners, India and the UAE will review the progress made since the signing of a significant trade agreement between the two nations.

 

During his visit, Modi is scheduled to hold talks with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE and the Ruler of Abu Dhabi. This meeting will serve as the completion of a crucial triad, following substantial engagements with French leadership.
