Punjab Police raided Hotel Ambani in Zirakpur, arresting owner Pramod Tiwari for allegedly running a prostitution racket. Several women were rescued from the premises. A viral video triggered the investigation. A case has been filed under the Immoral Trafficking Act, and a broader probe into human trafficking is underway.

Punjab Police busted a prostitution racket operating out of Hotel Ambani in Zirakpur, following a tip-off about illegal activities on the hotel premises. The property, situated above Canara Bank on Patiala Road and AK Grand, was raided on Saturday, leading to the arrest of the owner and the rescue of several women allegedly forced into sex work.
The primary accused, Pramod Tiwari, a resident of Derabassi, was arrested for running the illegal operation. Police also named another individual, Saddam, as a co-accused in the racket. A case has been filed under Sections 3, 4, and 5 of the Immoral Trafficking (Prevention) Act.
According to Zirakpur Station House Officer Inspector Satinder Singh, the women rescued from the hotel were being coerced into prostitution. Authorities are now working to reunite them with their families. Singh added that the case also involves elements of human trafficking.
The investigation gained momentum after a video allegedly showing illegal activities inside the hotel went viral on social media. The footage reportedly depicted scenes of solicitation and illicit transactions, prompting swift police action.
Law enforcement officials stated that the operation had been running discreetly for some time and that the hotel owners were charging large sums from clients in exchange for illegal services. A detailed probe is now underway to trace any broader network or accomplices involved.
