Congress aims to highlight issues like unemployment, rising prices, and social justice, addressing perceived injustices of the last decade. Gandhi emphasizes the misuse of emotional issues in politics, urging the youth to focus on substantive concerns. In a bid to address prevailing social issues and set the narrative for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, Rahul Gandhi is commencing the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra from Manipur, traversing 100 Lok Sabha segments across 15 states. The Congress party perceives this journey as a transformative endeavor, akin to Gandhi's previous cross-country march.

Designed to voice opposition against perceived injustices over the past decade, the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra will emphasize concerns such as unemployment, escalating prices, and social justice. The Congress has even released a "Nyay anthem" with the tagline "Saho Mat, Daro Mat (do not suffer, do not be scared)."

Prior to the yatra, Rahul Gandhi conveyed a message, cautioning against the political misuse of emotional issues. In a social media post, he urged the youth to ponder over the identity of the India of their dreams, emphasizing the importance of quality of life over mere emotions.

The yatra, covering 6,713 km predominantly by buses and foot, will navigate through 110 districts, 100 Lok Sabha seats, and 337 assembly segments over 67 days. Notably, Manipur, the initial choice for flagging off the yatra, witnessed ethnic violence since May last year, prompting the change of venue to Thoubal district.

Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh asserts that this Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra will be as impactful as the previous over 4,000-km Bharat Jodo Yatra. During the latter, Gandhi focused on rising inequality, social polarization, and political tyranny, advocating for justice as the solution. The yatra's finale is scheduled for March 20 or 21 in Mumbai.
