Rihanna is back with a bang. Despite being away from music, the baddie paved the way to make her mark return on the charts. This time around, the singer and billionaire businesswoman geared up and released her latest music entitled “Lift Me Up,” at Friday midnight, on the 28th of October.

Rihanna

It starkly contrasts with her last album, “Anti,” which was released over the years back in 2016. The time has come for her to reign once more, as she prepares to return to her musical roots and reclaim her place in the spotlight.

This song will appear in the movie sequel Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which will be shown on the 11th of November as a tribute to the departed Chadwick Boseman, an American actor who happens to be part of Black Panther. Boseman died in 2020, after battling colon cancer.

Whereas this song is meant to honor the late actor, Rihanna, along with prominent names in the music industry, such as movie director Ryan Coogler and Swedish composer Ludwig Göransson, who collaborate to produce this music with the theme of embracing love and finding inspiration in the dark limbo of losing people she loves.

RiRi’s fans are ecstatic about it, and her new release is already topping the charts around the globe. Furthermore, it was also announced that she's set to headline the legendary Super Bowl halftime show next year, in February in Arizona.

The defining artist, together with her soothing vocals, sings her uplifting release with the lyrics, "Lift me up, hold me down, keep me close, safe and sound/Hold me when you go to sleep, keep me in the warmth of your love when you depart, keep me safe and sound."

The song features a gentle, soothing melody that builds to a climax highlighted by its distinctive, delicate notes and subtle, pleasant rhythm. It is sort of tranquil and reassuring to listen to.

As Rihanna’s comeback single is finally here, the song aims to make a statement. The lyrics are all about putting the past behind and looking toward the future with a fresh perspective. With "Lift Me Up," Rihanna has kindly invited people to look at her journey as well as her beautiful new music video for the song.

Rihanna’s song is a long way from being a soundtrack to the movie itself, but it seems that she has stayed true to her love of Marvel movies with this venture. This single came at exactly the right time, as she has stayed away from the limelight for a while in order to focus on different matters, such as her family and getting her business off the ground. Her comeback is long overdue for her fans and definitely adds up to the anticipation of the upcoming release of the sequel of the Black Panther film which will be released on November 11

Take a listen and see if you can detect what makes this song a good fit for the plot of Black Panther and its characters.
