Prime Minister Narendra Modi plans to attend the DGP-IGP national conference in Jaipur from January 5 to 7. The event, hosted at the Rajasthan International Centre, will focus on diverse challenges like AI, cyber threats, counter-terrorism, and narcotics smuggling. Modi's presence highlights his active involvement in national security matters.

The Bharatiya Janata Party's Jaipur office underwent elaborate preparations before the imminent visit of PM Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. This was in anticipation of their participation in the 58th DGP-IGP national conference. The conference aims to tackle cybercrime, counter-terrorism, and prison reforms among other pressing issues.

One of the primary agendas of the conference involves strategizing the implementation of new criminal laws recently sanctioned by Parliament. Additionally, discussions will encompass futuristic policing themes, addressing challenges posed by technologies like AI and deep fakes. The conference fosters an exchange of best practices among states for enhanced learning.

PM Modi's active participation in the DGP conference since 2014 signifies a departure from past symbolic representations by prime ministers. His engagement includes attentive listening and encouragement of free discussions, fostering innovation. This year's conference plans informal discussions during meals, enabling senior police officials to share insights with the PM.

Continuing his tradition, PM Modi's presence in Jaipur aims to engage with top Rajasthan BJP leaders. Scheduled meetings involve discussions with MLAs and party office bearers. The Rajasthan BJP leaders received directives during a preparatory meeting regarding PM Modi's itinerary and expected program during his visit.
