A 20-year-old guy was admitted to a private hospital in Puducherry, where physicians performed an endoscopic treatment to remove 26 sharp metallic objects from his stomach. Thirteen hairpins, five safety pins, and eight razor blades were recovered.

The patient had been experiencing terrible stomach pain for almost a month, and he had been dealing with psychological disorders and taking medication for quite some time. He visited several hospitals, but the doctors were unable to establish what was wrong with him and just gave him medication for ulcers.

The GEM Hospital medical staff decided to do an endoscopy in order to diagnose the issue. The surgery shocked the doctors since it showed metal fragments inside the patient's stomach. Despite the pointed nature of the objects, no internal tears had resulted and they had not spread beyond the stomach.

After that, the medical staff began an endoscopic surgery that would take two hours to complete and would involve the careful removal of 26 sharp items from the patient's stomach. It is unknown how or why these items ended up in the patient's stomach, but doctors think they may have been accidentally mixed in with meals.

Thanks to the fact that the patient didn't experience any complications during the operation, he's now home recovering. The medical staff's quick thinking and dexterity in dealing with a bizarre case like this young man's shows in their ability to successfully remove the sharp items from his stomach.
