UP Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak Assures Relief Measures Amid Heavy Rains



Amidst the continuous rainfall over the past couple of days in several parts of Uttar Pradesh, cities are facing heavy waterlogging issues and a disruption in the daily routines of residents.


Brajesh Pathak, the Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, has stated that the government is taking all necessary measures to restore normalcy in these affected areas.


Measures are being implemented to reduce waterlogging in the affected regions, alongside the distribution of essential supplies, including food, to assist those in need.


Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has personally issued instructions to ensure these arrangements are carried out.

During his interview with ANI on Tuesday, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak stated, "The government is working in the heavy rainfall affected areas.”


Pathak informed, “The arrangements to de-clog waterlogged areas have been made and food is being provided to the victims."


He further added, "CM has called for meetings. Hospitals and the electricity board have been put on alert."


On Monday morning, relentless rain caused severe waterlogging in Lucknow's various zones, particularly impacting residents in the low-lying regions of Sadar, leading to road subsidence and related issues.

As the monsoon season persists, residents in the affected areas are strongly advised to take caution and prioritise safety.
