Joe Biden, and India's Prime Minister

The President of the United States, Joe Biden, and India's Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, are planning to talk about important G20 topics. This includes working together on economic stuff and investments with many countries. President Biden really wants to improve and change international banks. An official from the White House said this.

John Kirby, who works for the National Security Council, also said it's unlikely that Modi and Biden will talk much about climate or the war in Ukraine. John Kirby spoke before President Biden went to New Delhi to meet Prime Minister Modi. They'll meet on the next day.

When asked what they'll talk about, Kirby said it's too early to say, but it will build on their previous talks. They had a big meeting in the White House not long ago when Modi visited.

They will likely discuss things for the G20, like working together on money and investments with many countries. President Biden really wants to change and improve international banks. They will probably also talk about climate change and hope to have a strong conversation about switching to clean energy technology. They want more countries from the G20 to invest in clean energy and reduce greenhouse gases.

They will likely discuss the ongoing war in Ukraine and how it's affecting poorer countries. This links back to the economic cooperation topic.

The G20 Leaders' Summit is happening on September 9 and 10 in India, and President Biden will be there. He's starting his visit to India on September 7.
