Amidst the ongoing protests in Delhi, Congress leader Jagdish
Tytler has made an appearance at Rouse Avenue Court in the case related to the
infamous Anti-Sikh Riots. The court had summoned him to be present in the
proceedings.
The matter of the supplementary charge sheet against Tytler
has been scheduled for scrutiny on August 11, as scheduled by the Rouse Avenue
Court. His appearance has created a stir due to the historical significance and
sensitivity of the case.
On Friday, the sessions court granted anticipatory bail to the Congress leader in connection with the 1984 anti-Sikh riots case. Following the sessions court's decision, the Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi directed Tytler to furnish the stipulated bail amount as per the conditions set by the sessions court.
Accordingly, Tytler was asked to provide a bail bond of Rs
one lakh. The Rouse Avenue Court confirmed the receipt of the bail order
granted to Jagdish Tytler by the sessions court.
The court issued a summons to Jagdish Tytler, instructing him
to receive a copy of the chargesheet in connection with the 1984 Anti-Sikh
riots case. The charge sheet, which was required to be handed over to the
Congress leader, has been supplied, as informed by the court.
Members of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) gathered in protest outside the Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi to express their grievances against Congress leader Jagdish Tytler regarding the 1984 Anti-Sikh Riots case.
The protest took a tense turn when a minor clash broke out between the DSGMC members and the Delhi Police at the court premises. The incident was captured on video and has been circulating on social media platforms.
As a precautionary measure due to the situation, the Delhi
Police decided to close the entry gate of the courtroom, citing security
reasons.
