In a shocking discovery in Tamil Nadu's Tiruvannamalai district, a 50-year-old man, G Aravindam, was found living with the body of his deceased father for five days. The tragic incident came to light on Thursday morning when sanitation workers, alerted by neighbors about a foul odor coming from the house, broke into the home in Vandavasi.

Upon entering, the workers found a decomposed body of the father lying on a bed, while Aravindam was reportedly sitting calmly nearby. It was revealed that Aravindam, who is suspected to be specially abled, had not opened the door for several days, despite the neighbors’ repeated attempts to check on them. The house was described as dilapidated and in disarray.

A sanitation worker, C Banumathi, mentioned that she had last seen Aravindam leave the house to buy food about a month ago. Neighbors reported that the air conditioner had been running for days with no visible activity inside. Police have sent the father’s body for a post-mortem to determine the cause of death, which is believed to be due to age-related issues.
