Indian cricket sensation Virat Kohli, who has been delivering an exceptional performance in the ongoing ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023, achieved a historic milestone on his 35th birthday during the match against South Africa. Kohli's record-breaking feat was his 49th ODI century, matching the legendary Sachin Tendulkar's ODI century record.

However, Virat Kohli created headlines for a different reason the day after his remarkable century. A video that quickly went viral on social media displayed the cricketer boarding a domestic flight in economy class, a gesture that left fellow passengers and fans in astonishment.

Fellow passengers, recognizing the renowned cricketer, eagerly captured photos and videos as he occupied an aisle seat beside another traveler. Virat Kohli's destination was Bengaluru, where the upcoming match between India and Netherlands will be held at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on November 12.

Unsurprisingly, social media users wasted no time in sharing their humorous reactions to this unexpected sight. Some praised the passenger seated beside Kohli as "very lucky," while others quipped, "Someone gives Virat a window seat." Many admired the batsman for his unpretentious nature.

Virat Kohli's unbeaten century, a masterful 101, enabled India to set a challenging total of 326-5 against South Africa. The Indian bowlers then efficiently dismissed the Proteas, securing an impressive 243-run victory and advancing to the World Cup semifinals.

While it took Kohli 277 innings to reach his 49th ODI century, in contrast to Tendulkar's 451 innings, the cricketer expressed his emotions about equaling his "hero's record." Sachin Tendulkar himself extended his congratulations to Kohli and encouraged him to surpass his record by achieving his 50th ODI century in the upcoming matches. Kohli's humility and extraordinary cricketing skills continue to endear him to fans worldwide.
