The upcoming ceremony has reignited memories of the historical struggle that unfolded on that fateful December day in 1992.
Back in 1992, amidst the fervor surrounding the construction of the Ram Temple, Achal Singh Meena, then 30, played a prominent role. Climbing to demolish the disputed structure, a part of the debris fell on his back, leading to paralysis in his lower body. Admitted first to Faizabad and later to Lucknow's Gandhi Medical College, Achal regained consciousness but lost the ability to walk.
