ACB Extends Jonathan Trott's Head Coach Contract Post Successful World Cup

The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) extended Jonathan Trott's coaching contract post a successful World Cup run in 2023. Trott's tenure saw Afghanistan's remarkable progress, including wins against notable teams like England, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and the Netherlands. His renewed contract spans through 2024, incorporating the T20 World Cup. Afghanistan achieved 19 victories in 50 international matches under Trott's guidance, securing their maiden ODI series win against Bangladesh and their first T20I series win against Pakistan. The initial contract, which began in July 2022, culminated at the end of the 2023 World Cup.
