In a startling incident during the Lok Sabha session, chaos erupted as two intruders breached security protocols, releasing gas and causing panic. Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan, identified as the disruptors, used a pass linked to BJP MP Pratap Simha for entry, triggering concerns about the efficacy of security measures.

The disruption occurred during Zero Hour, with Sharma and Manoranjan jumping into the chamber from the public gallery. They released yellow gas, shouted slogans, and wielded tear gas canisters, prompting a temporary adjournment of the session.

Speaker Om Birla assured a thorough investigation into the breach and the materials used by the intruders, emphasizing that the emitted gas posed no significant danger. However, MPs raised alarms over the breach's severity and potential risks associated with the released gas.

The incident, occurring on the anniversary of the 2001 Parliament attack, prompted heightened security measures around the Parliament. MPs, including Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury and Karti Chidambaram, emphasized the need for robust security reviews to prevent future breaches and safeguard elected representatives.

Additionally, outside the premises, Delhi Police detained individuals, Neelam and Amol Shinde, protesting with colored smoke canisters. Investigations are ongoing to determine any possible connections between these incidents and whether there were security lapses in permitting access to restricted areas.

The breach has sparked nationwide discussions on reinforcing security measures to uphold the sanctity of parliamentary proceedings and ensure the safety of lawmakers and staff. A comprehensive review of security protocols is imminent to avert potential security threats in the future.
