At the Venice Film Festival, the world premiere of the racing drama "Ferrari" concluded with a remarkable six-minute standing ovation. Actor Adam Driver and director Michael Mann graced the premiere night on Thursday, in the company of a full house at the Sala Grande Theatre.
The Venice Film Festival premiere of "Ferrari" left Adam Driver visibly moved, with Variety reporting that he became emotional, remaining seated until Michael Mann helped him up to accept the prolonged applause. In the film, Driver takes on the role of Enzo Ferrari, supported by an ensemble cast featuring Penélope Cruz, Shailene Woodley, Sarah Gadon, Gabriel Leone, Jack O’Connell, and Patrick Dempsey.
It's worth noting that due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, the extended cast couldn't be present at the premiere, although they are permitted to participate in press activities, given "Ferrari" is an independent production.
