In a remarkable turn of events, Dr. Cyriac Abby Philips, a passenger on an Akasa Air flight from Kochi to Mumbai, has emerged as a hero after successfully saving the life of a fellow traveler grappling with respiratory distress. The incident unfolded on the night of January 14, showcasing Dr. Philips' quick thinking and exemplary medical expertise, earning him widespread acclaim across the internet.

Dr. Philips, attempting to rest during the flight, found himself compelled to act when a co-passenger experienced alarming breathing difficulties. Collaborating with the air hostess, he employed an emergency nebulizer. However, as the situation escalated, Dr. Philips identified a severe condition – pleural effusion, signifying fluid accumulation in the lungs – using his stethoscope.

Further investigation revealed the distressed passenger's blood pressure had skyrocketed to alarming levels of 280/160. Faced with limited resources on the plane, Dr. Philips administered a frusemide injection into the patient's buttock muscles to alleviate the crisis.
