The collaborative partnership of India and Australia in the field of promotion of sports and healthy gaming spirit is known worldwide. While Australia now hosts the 35th Australian Sikh Games, PM Modi has sent a sweet message to Australian National Sikh Sports and Cultural Council located in Brisbane, Australia.

What Did PM Modi’s Letter Say?
PM Modi recalled moments spent with the
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese while witnessing the India-Australia
cricket match. He said it was one of those moments he cherished and focused on
the progress in a healthy and ever-growing partnership between India and
Australia.
The letter said, “India and Australia
have several commonalities - a connected history, shared values, love for
democracy, and respect for a rules-based international order. We are also
strong partners in progress and prosperity.”
PM Modi then rightfully pointed out that
sports are the most viable field, which adds variety to the diplomatic joint
ventures between the two countries. PM Modi further stated that he hopes the
35th Australian Sikh Games Will only add to the already existing ‘love and
affection’ between India and Australia.
It is pertinent to mention that even in
this diplomatic note, PM Modi did not forget to draw a connection with Indian
roots and praised the Sikh community by saying, “The holy Gurus also gave the
message of bringing people of different sections of society together as a team
to achieve progress. These concepts are also relevant in the world of
sports…Following in these footsteps, the Sikh community has always been
actively involved in sports, teamwork, and fitness.”
