Amidst Australian Sikh Games, PM Modi Appreciated The Country as "A Strong Partner"

 The collaborative partnership of India and Australia in the field of promotion of sports and healthy gaming spirit is known worldwide. While Australia now hosts the 35th Australian Sikh Games, PM Modi has sent a sweet message to Australian National Sikh Sports and Cultural Council located in Brisbane, Australia.

 What Did PM Modi’s Letter Say?

 

PM Modi recalled moments spent with the Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese while witnessing the India-Australia cricket match. He said it was one of those moments he cherished and focused on the progress in a healthy and ever-growing partnership between India and Australia.

 

The letter said, “India and Australia have several commonalities - a connected history, shared values, love for democracy, and respect for a rules-based international order. We are also strong partners in progress and prosperity.”

 

PM Modi then rightfully pointed out that sports are the most viable field, which adds variety to the diplomatic joint ventures between the two countries. PM Modi further stated that he hopes the 35th Australian Sikh Games Will only add to the already existing ‘love and affection’ between India and Australia.

 

It is pertinent to mention that even in this diplomatic note, PM Modi did not forget to draw a connection with Indian roots and praised the Sikh community by saying, “The holy Gurus also gave the message of bringing people of different sections of society together as a team to achieve progress. These concepts are also relevant in the world of sports…Following in these footsteps, the Sikh community has always been actively involved in sports, teamwork, and fitness.”
