Amit Shah holds security review meeting for Jammu and Kashmir & Yatra related security and facilities

Union Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a high-level meeting to assess J&K's security situation and prepare for the Amarnath Yatra, following recent terrorist attacks. The government is stepping up security measures to protect citizens and combat terrorism.
Amit Shah, Home Minister of India had a review meeting today regarding the security situation in the Jammu & Kashmir as well as regarding the Amarnath Yatra. In the meeting, NSA Ajit Doval, Home Secretary, Army Chief Manoj Pande, J&K LG Manoj Sinha, Army Chief designate Lt General Upendra Dwivedi, IB Director Tapan Deka, BSF DG Nitin Agarwal and CRPF DG Anish Dayal were present.
The meeting is set against the backdrop of the recent acts of terror in the region, which have raised issues of security. Since 9 June, there have been clashes in Reasi, Kathua, and Dosa, in which nine pilgrims and one CRPF jawan were killed and several civilians and security forces were injured.
In response to these attacks, the government is ramping up security to protect the people of J&K, particularly the pilgrims / devotees of Amarnath Yatra and maintain law and order. Security agencies briefed him on security situation currently and their stand on terrorism.
This comes a as Modi presided over a key security meeting to review the security situation on Thursday. Home Minister Shah also briefed PM Modi elaborately on the current counter-terrorism operations and deploying security forces. He also had a word with J&K Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and wanted to know the stand being taken by district authorities.

It implies that the government is still concerned with the welfare of all the people in the Jammu and Kashmir and will continue eliminating terrorism in the state. Further details about the security arrangements made by the state government for the Amarnath Yatra are yet to be disclosed in the next few days.
