Ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections on February 5, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal has expressed confidence that his party could win up to 55 seats in the 70-member assembly. He further added that with increased participation from women voters, the party's seat count could surpass 60. Kejriwal made this prediction during a roadshow in Kalkaji, urging women to convince male family members to vote for AAP.

Addressing supporters, Kejriwal emphasized that the AAP represents the common people and that the BJP is a party of the rich. He asked mothers and sisters in Delhi to take the lead in ensuring a larger voter turnout among women, suggesting that this could lead to a historic victory in constituencies like New Delhi, Jangpura, and Kalkaji.

The Delhi election results will be announced on February 8, and the political scene has been marked by fierce competition between AAP, BJP, and Congress. In 2020, AAP secured 62 seats, with the BJP winning 8, while Congress failed to secure any. AAP had a resounding victory in 2015, securing 67 out of 70 seats.

The election campaign concluded with high-energy rallies and political attacks, with Kejriwal accusing the BJP of conspiracy and using sharp rhetoric against his rivals. The final outcome will be eagerly awaited as Delhi voters head to the polls this week.
