At the ATP Finals 2023 in Turin, Rohan Bopanna, the veteran Indian tennis player, etched his name in history books once more. Partnering with Matthew Ebden, Bopanna secured a monumental win in the men's doubles, becoming the oldest player to triumph in an ATP Finals match. This victory was a testament to his enduring prowess on the court.

At 43, Bopanna shattered the previous record held by Daniel Nestor, showcasing no signs of slowing down. Notably, he recently clinched the Gold in mixed doubles at the Asian Games 2023, displaying remarkable consistency in his game. His feat at the Indian Wells 2023 doubles event also added to his repertoire of accomplishments, making him the oldest player to claim the ATP 100 masters title.

In the ATP Finals, Bopanna-Ebden, seeded third in Group Red, bounced back from an initial loss. They secured a convincing 6-4, 6-4 victory against Rinky Hijijata and Jason Kubler after a setback against Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury in the group stage.

In the singles events, Carlos Alcaraz, the current world no.2, seized his maiden win with a commanding performance against Andrey Rublev. While Daniil Medvedev leads the group, an impending clash with Alcaraz promises an enthralling spectacle.

Contrarily, world no.1 Novak Djokovic faced an unexpected defeat against Jannik Sinner in a thrilling encounter. Djokovic, eyeing his seventh ATP Finals title, now faces a crucial match against Hubert Hurkacz to secure his spot in the latter stages of the tournament. Despite this setback, Djokovic remains a formidable contender in the ATP Finals 2023.
