On a momentous occasion, the Ram Lalla idol was reverently transported into the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, announced Nripendra Mishra, the chairperson of the Shri Ram Mandir Construction Committee. This significant event unfolded in the early hours of Thursday, with the idol carefully lifted by a crane and placed inside the sanctum sanctorum. The 'Pran Pratistha' ceremony, scheduled for January 22, will see the formal installation of the deity.

Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra selected a murti sculpted on Krishna Shila by acclaimed artist Arun Yogiraj as the Shri Vigraha for Bhagwan Shri Ramlalla Sarkar. Weighing between 150 kg to 200 kg, the stone sculpture depicts a five-year-old Ram Lalla. The existing idol, venerated for 70 years, will also find its place in the new temple's sanctum sanctorum.

Rituals leading to the 'Pran Pratishtha' have already commenced and are set to continue until January 21. Temple Trust general secretary Champat Rai shared that essential rituals for the consecration will occur on January 22, with eleven priests invoking deities. A total of 121 'acharyas' are actively involved in conducting these rituals.
