The Mumbai Police Crime Branch and UP Police Special Task Force arrested a shooter and two suspects linked to NCP leader Baba Siddique’s murder. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang is implicated, with Siddique's assassination allegedly organized by Anmol Bishnoi. Further investigations reveal a second political leader was also targeted.
In a joint operation between the Mumbai Police Crime Branch and the Uttar Pradesh Police Special Task Force, a shooter and two additional suspects connected to the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique were arrested in Uttar Pradesh. Siddique was fatally shot near his son Zeeshan's MLA office in Bandra, Mumbai, on October 12.
The shooter, identified as Shiva Kumar, along with two other suspects, will be brought to Mumbai for further investigation. Earlier, on Friday, Mumbai Police had apprehended another suspect, Gaurav Vilas Apune, who was reportedly part of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and had trained in Jharkhand as part of a "Plan B" backup strategy for Siddique’s murder. Apune revealed that he, along with another suspect, Rupesh Mohol, practiced firing weapons in Jharkhand, allegedly on orders from Shubham Lonkar, the murder's mastermind.

Reports indicate that jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother, Anmol Bishnoi, may have orchestrated the murder. The investigation also uncovered that another political leader from Pune was targeted by the Bishnoi gang, though the plan was disrupted following the recovery of a firearm meant for the attack.
