The Bhau Beej festivity in Baramati was a joyous affair as political figures Ajit Pawar, Supriya Sule, and Sharad Pawar convened to celebrate Diwali. The gathering, hosted at Ajit Pawar's residence nestled in the Katewadi area of Baramati, saw the convergence of various members of the Pawar family, including Sunetra Pawar, Parth Pawar, and Jay Pawar.

An annual tradition, this celebration during Diwali serves as a unifying moment for the Pawar family, encapsulating the essence of Bhai Dooj or Bhau Beej in the tranquil setting of Baramati. However, this year's festivity holds particular significance, marking the first Diwali since Ajit Pawar's significant political pivot from the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) to forming alliances with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena to be part of the government.

Ajit Pawar, demonstrating his commitment, has taken steps by approaching the Election Commission of India (ECI) to assert his claim to the party leadership originally established by Sharad Pawar, aged 82, and its symbol, adding a layer of political intrigue to the familial celebration.

In a heartfelt gesture, Ajit Pawar visited Sharad Pawar's home in Baramati on Tuesday, a day before Bhau Beej, to mark Diwali Padwa, reinforcing the bond shared within the family. Supriya Sule, an active presence on social media, shared glimpses of this familial gathering, expressing reverence for their traditions and the sense of unity and togetherness experienced during these festive moments in Baramati.

This celebration amidst political transitions portrays the Pawar family's resilience and unity, showcasing that despite diverging political paths, familial ties remain steadfast during cherished occasions.
