'Bawaal' Screening: A Star Studded Evening

On Tuesday, 18th July, 2023, night, Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor attended the star-studded screening of their film 'Bawaal' in Mumbai.

 

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, renowned for his directorial successes 'Dangal' and 'Chhichhore', 'Bawaal' is a romantic drama set during World War 2. The film's trailer recently premiered in Dubai.

 

The movie stars Varun as a history teacher who accompanies Janhvi Kapoor's character on a Europe trip to explore World War 2 sites. Filming took place in Paris, Berlin, Poland, Amsterdam, Krakow, Warsaw, as well as Lucknow and two other Indian cities. The crew consisted of over 700 members, including action directors and stuntmen recruited from Germany.

Nitesh discussed the importance of the references to Hitler and World War 2 in the film, explaining that these events played a crucial role in shaping the characters' development and relationship. He mentioned that while the film showcases carefully chosen incidents beyond what is seen in the trailer, it was necessary to select specific events from the vast scope of World War 2 to impact the characters' journey.

 

The film will be out on 21st July, 2023 on prime video.

 

Janhvi appeared breathtaking in a silver sequin gown, complemented by subtle makeup and flowing, open hair. In contrast, Varun made a fashionable entrance donning a black suit, white shirt, and a black tie. His wife, Natasha Dalal, accompanied him for the special occasion.

A multitude of Bollywood celebrities attended the screening to extend their support to the 'Bawaal' team. Among the prominent guests were Karan Johar, Arjun Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Boney Kapoor, Nora Fatehi, and Tamannaah Bhatia.

 

The screening witnessed the presence of additional celebrities like Manish Malhotra, Elli AvrRam, Pooja Hegde, Nushrratt Bharuccha, Avneet Kaur, and Isabelle, who showed their support to the 'Bawaal' team.

 

Notably, Varun Dhawan's father, David Dhawan, was also among the attendees at the event.
