The Janata Dal-United (JDU) in Bihar has issued a three-line whip to its MLAs ahead of the trust vote scheduled for February 12. This move aims to secure support and prevent poaching attempts by the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), the principal opposition party. Amidst speculations and rumors, both parties are making strategic maneuvers to ensure their positions before the crucial floor test.

In a bid to maintain unity within the ruling coalition, the JDU organized a meeting of its MLAs at the residence of Bihar minister Shrawon Kumar in Patna. Responding to rumors of 'missing' MLAs, JDU leaders affirmed that all members were in contact and expressed confidence in winning the floor test under Nitish Kumar's leadership.

Simultaneously, the RJD convened a meeting of its MLAs and allies ahead of the floor test, signaling preparations for a showdown. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav hinted at impending developments in the state, emphasizing the party's readiness to confront challenges.

The political tension escalated as both parties engaged in strategic positioning. RJD MPs and MLAs gathered at Tejashwi Yadav's residence, underscoring the party's determination. Amidst the political maneuvers, RJD MP Manoj Jha reiterated the party's resolve to face the upcoming test, portraying February 12 as a significant episode in Bihar's political saga.

The backdrop to this political drama lies in recent realignments within Bihar's political landscape. Nitish Kumar's departure from the Mahagathbandhan alliance to form a new government with BJP support reshaped the state's political dynamics. With the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) commanding 128 seats against the opposition's 114, the upcoming trust vote holds immense significance for Bihar's governance.
