Political uproar in Madhya Pradesh as BJP and Congress clash over alleged theme song plagiarism for upcoming elections.

A fierce dispute has ignited in Madhya Pradesh as both BJP and Congress accused each other of using the theme song of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party during an election campaign in Madhya Pradesh.

The BJP alleged that the Congress has "absconded" with the theme song, "Chalo, Chalo Imran Ke Sath", for their Jan Aakrosh Yatra initiative.

This campaign is slated to commence on September 19 from seven locations in Madhya Pradesh, in anticipation of the November elections.

In retaliation, the Congress fired back, asserting that the song was initially emulated by Dushyant Chautala, the Deputy Chief Minister in Haryana's BJP administration, and was employed similarly in Rajasthan's campaign.

State BJP spokesperson Rahul Kothari criticized the Congress for drawing from Pakistan and accused them of exhibiting undue favor towards the neighboring country. He also pondered aloud, "It wouldn't be surprising if the Congress flag soon turns entirely green."

The Congress, however, stood by their use of the song, underscoring their dedication to spotlighting issues like corruption, unemployment, and injustices against marginalized communities during their 11,400-kilometer Jan Aakrosh Yatra.

With both parties holding steadfast to their stances, the clash over the theme song has injected an extra layer of fervor into the political arena of Madhya Pradesh.
