BJP's Navneet Rana warns of 'Ram bhakts' on streets after AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi boasted his brother is a restrained 'cannon'. War of words escalates.
The war of words between the BJP leader Navneet Rana and the
AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi
has reached its peak, as the first one issued a fresh warning to the latter
saying that the streets are filled with "Ram bhakts and Modi's lions"
after Owaisi boasted that his younger brother Akbaruddin was like a restrained
cannon.
"Owaisi has kept the brother under control. It is a good thing, otherwise lions of Modi
ji and Ram bhakts (devotees of Lord Ram) are everywhere in the streets of the
country. I am coming to Hyderabad
soon," said Rana, who is the BJP's Lok Sabha candidate from Amravati.
Rana's comment followed Owaisi's speech in Moghalpura in
which he made the "cannon" reference about his brother. "I have
stopped Akbaruddin from doing chotte (Akbaruddin). It is possible that you have
no idea about chotte. He is a cannon. Son of Salar. What do you want?'Shall I
cut him loose?' Owaisi asked.
The verbal duel is the latest in a set of vehement
assertions by the two leaders against each other in the middle of a heated
election process.

Yesterday Rana said that the Owaisi brothers may not know
where they come from and where they go if the police was off the streets for
just 15 seconds. It is an apparent
reference to Akbaruddin's hate speech in 2013 when he threatened to take the
police from the streets.
Contrarily, Owaisi was so bold as to challenge PM Modi to
give Rana “one hour” instead of 15 seconds, saying that he was not afraid of
her threats.
There have been several cases of tensions where Rana has
accused that "a vote for Congress is a vote for Pakistan". Telangana
police registered a case against her on Friday which related to the
controversial statement.
