Delhi: Fire Erupts at Plywood Store in Delhi, Firefighters Arrive

In the early
hours of Wednesday, a significant fire ignited at a plywood store located in
Gandhi Nagar, New Delhi. No immediate information was available regarding
casualties or injuries resulting from the fire. After being informed about the
incident, a total of eleven fire tenders were quickly dispatched to the
location, and a firefighting operation was initiated.
The shop's
proprietor, Amandeep, stated that the fire erupted at 3:30 am on Wednesday.
Amandeep mentioned that he had received a phone call from his brother 15
minutes after the fire had begun. He explained that he was asleep when the call
came in. According to him, the fire had originated at the back of the shop. He
also stated that they sought assistance from the police and that the
firefighters were promptly called in to extinguish the fire. He noted ten
distress calls to the fire department, but there was no response.

from the site of the accident indicate the presence of 21 fire tenders to douse
the fire.
Fire Officer
Rajendra stated that a fire had erupted at a plywood shop and the cause of the
fire was still to be determined. He mentioned that they had received a fire
call at 4:07 am and a total of 21 fire tenders were present at the location.
