Kerala recorded the highest number of new cases, with 18,623 on April 9-15, followed by Delhi with 7,664 cases, surpassing Maharashtra, which reported 6,048 cases. Delhi's cases more than doubled from the previous week's count of 3,626. Haryana ranked fourth and reported 2.4 times increase in cases, from 1,915 to 4,554, while Uttar Pradesh saw cases almost triple, from 1,170 to 3,332.

Several states, including Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, and Rajasthan, have recorded more than 2,000 new cases of COVID-19 in the past week. In particular, Tamil Nadu reported 3,052 new cases, while Karnataka reported 2,253, Gujarat reported 2,341, Himachal Pradesh reported 2,163, and Rajasthan reported 2,016.
