Deliberate or Accidental:-
Alt title: Rohingya refugee camp fire revealed to be a deliberate act of sabotage The fire that erupted in the Rohingya refugee camp in early March 2023, has been revealed to be a "planned and purposeful act of sabotage," according to investigators.  Deliberate or Accidental Deliberate or Accidental-Deliberate or Accidental The raging fire blazed through the largest refugee camp in the world situated in Bangladesh, resulting in the destruction of 2,800 shelters and rendering 15,000 Rohingya refugees homeless. No casualties were reported from the incident. A seven-person panel was formed to investigate the tragic event, which concluded that the fire was "premeditated," as per the words of Abu Sufian, a senior district government official and head of the seven-member probe committee. The panel stated that the fire was instigated by "militant groups" with the aim of exerting control over the camps.  The investigators found that fires were started simultaneously at several locations in the Cox Bazaar camp, which indicates that it was a well-planned incident. The fire impacted more than 90 facilities, including homes, schools, medical clinics, and service points. The panel conducted over 150 interviews to determine the cause of the fire, and it recommended that further investigation is imperative to identify the culprits responsible for the fire. The panel recommended a thorough investigation by the law enforcement agency to identify the groups involved in the incident, Sufian stated. In addition, the panel recommended that to prepare for potential fires in the future, a dedicated fire service unit should be established for the Rohingya camps. Additionally, it was suggested that each block within the camps be expanded to allow for the entry and exit of fire service vehicles. To prevent further damage, water cisterns should be constructed, and the use of less flammable materials in shelter construction should be encouraged. At 2:30 pm local time, a fire erupted in Camp 11, located in southeastern Bangladesh's Cox's Bazar region. By the evening, the fire was contained. The camps shelter tens of thousands of huts where over one million Rohingya refugees reside. These huts, constructed from bamboo and thin plastic sheeting, are prevalent throughout the camps situated in the border district of Cox's Bazaar. The Rohingya crisis has been going on for years, with the refugees fleeing from persecution in Myanmar. The refugee camps in Bangladesh are overcrowded, and the living conditions are often precarious.  The fire that devastated the Rohingya refugee camp in early March was a planned and purposeful act of sabotage, at least according to the investigators.  Additional inquiry is required to ascertain the individuals responsible, and the Rohingya refugees urgently require better safety measures and support.
