Misinformation about a Congress rally in Rajasthan has gone viral, falsely claiming Pakistani flags were waved. Despite the voting for 200 assembly seats on November 25, misleading information continues to circulate on social media platforms. One such video falsely alleges Pakistani flags at a Congress rally in Rajasthan, creating a stir online. However, India TV's fact-check discredited the claim, confirming the flags in the viral video were not those of Pakistan but rather Islamic flags. Moreover, the video turned out to be several years old, adding to the false narrative.

The viral video, shared by a social media user named LC Bhandari on the 'Dr. Sambit Patra Fans Club's Facebook page, accused the Congress rally in Rajasthan of waving Pakistani flags, sparking outrage with the caption, "Traitors should be punished." The 48-second video captured a person claiming to witness the Pakistani flag at the Congress rally, urging Hindu attendees to reconsider their support. However, India TV's examination of the video revealed that the flags shown were not the national flag of Pakistan. The flags featured in the video were entirely green with Urdu or Arabic script, distinct from the Pakistani flag's design.

The investigation also unveiled the video's actual age, dating back five years. Rajasthan Police had previously addressed the same video, denying the false claim about the flags being Pakistani and warning against falling prey to misinformation. India TV's fact-checking confirmed the flags were not Pakistani but belonged to an Islamic context. This incident highlights the challenge of combating misinformation and the need for critical scrutiny of viral content circulating on social media platforms.
