'Dream Girl 2' Promo feat. Ranveer Singh as Rocky

The latest promo of 'Dream Girl 2' starring Ayushmann Khurrana, depicted a banter between Pooja played by Ayushmann and Rocky as Ranveer Singh from Karan Johar's 'Rocky aur Rani kii Prem Kahaani'. The promo was dropped by the makers on Thursday.

 

Pooja and Rocky have a hilarious phone conversation that leaves everyone in stitches. Pooja's stylish attire and her unique way of answering calls attract a lot of attention. It's fascinating to see Rocky complimenting Pooja on her red sari and playfully comparing her to the World Cup, which only returns after four years, as she calls herself the "trophy."

 

Speaking about the decision, Ektaa R Kapoor, Joint Managing Director - Balaji Telefilms Limited and one of the producers of the movie, shared the promo on her Instagram handle with the caption as "Pooja ek tyohaar hai, pachees ko iss baar hai! Your @pooja___dreamgirl arrives with a ROCKYing surprise on 25th July."

Pooja and Rocky exchange witty remarks and snappy comebacks, making their banter thoroughly entertaining. Pooja's infectious laughter and Rocky's charming demeanor add to the charm of the interaction, making it all the more captivating.

 

Additionally, Ayushmann shared the promo on his social media platform, eliciting reactions from numerous industry friends and fans with the caption "Pachees badi hai mast mast, kyunki @pooja dreamgirl aa rahi hai on 25 August."

 

The movie was originally scheduled to be released in July which was later shifted to August. The delay was due to VFX work essential for the film. As the movie shows Ayushmann as both male, Karam and female, Pooja, the VFX proved to be critical to make Pooja look as natural as possible.

 

Speaking about the delay Ektaa R Kapoor stated that the makers are putting every effort to make Ayushmann Khurrana's character to look perfect as Pooja in Dream Girl 2, thus, extra time is taken to perfect the VFX work for the face. She also stated that, to ensure the delivery of the best possible experience and high quality product to the audience while watching the movie, VFX work becomes an integral part of the film.

 

'Dream Girl 2' is the sequel to the immensely successful movie, 'Dream Girl,' which hit theaters in 2019 and achieved significant box office success. The first installment was well-received by audiences.

 

Apart from Ayushmann, the film features a star-studded cast, including Ananya Panday, Annu Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Asrani, Manjot Singh, and Vijay Raaz, among others.

 

The movie will be released on 25th August, 2023.

 

Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer 'Rocky aur Rani kii Prem Kahaani' is set to release on 28th July, 2023.
