Even though the Lok Sabha elections are only ten
days away, the NDA has received a boost from Raj Thackeray, who is putting his
weight "unconditionally" behind the coalition as they struggle to
come to a seat-sharing deal in the vital state of Maharashtra.
Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Chief
Minister Eknath Shinde of Maharashtra were pleased by Mr. Thackeray's
announcement.
During his address to party members of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena on Tuesday, the Maharashtrian New Year, Mr. Thackeray discussed his meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah last month. He asserted that he was the pioneer in the nation to advocate for Narendra Modi's nomination as prime minister.

Mr. Thackeray brought attention to the fact that
India's population is among the youngest on Earth. Without education and jobs
for youth, "anarchy would spread in the country," he warned. The MNS
leader believes Narendra Modi is the best choice to govern India at this
crucial time and that the Lok Sabha election will decide the country's fate.
