The inauguration of IFFI 2023 in Panaji, Goa, witnessed a stellar turnout from Bollywood luminaries. Among them, Sunny Deol graced the opening ceremony, where his heartfelt emotions stole the spotlight. A video capturing Deol's tearful moment onstage has since gone viral on social media.

Speaking openly about his Bollywood odyssey at IFFI 2023, Sunny Deol shared poignant anecdotes from his career trajectory. Reflecting on his post-'Gadar' success, he revealed enduring hardships and a dearth of compelling scripts, stirring deep emotions during the conversation.

During the event, director Rajkumar Santoshi, sharing the stage, offered consoling words, acknowledging the industry's failure to recognize Deol's talent. He affirmed, "The industry may have overlooked him, but not the divine." Deol, moved by Santoshi's words, couldn't contain his emotions, shedding tears in front of the audience.
