Amanatullah
Khan, an MLA for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), was the target of a non-bailable
arrest warrant requested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday in
connection with a money laundering case involving purported anomalies in the
nominations to the Delhi Waqf Board.
The court has set the matter for April 18 to provide the investigating agency additional time to submit the supporting documentation for its application.
The goal of re-filing Amanatullah Khan's case with the Bail and Filing Section is to acquire an open-ended, non-bailable warrant. The application is being evaluated and registered in compliance with the regulations; however, the special public prosecutor (SPP) for the ED is asking for an extension of time to provide certain documents in support of the application. Be mindful. According to news agency PTI, Special Judge Rakesh Syal of the Rouse Avenue court stated that the petition will be reviewed on April 18, 2024, as requested.
The Enforcement Directorate filed a charge sheet pertaining to the case, which listed four people, including three suspected associates of the Okhla MLA.

The Okhla MLA was served with a summons, and earlier this week, the ED submitted a motion to begin trial procedures. Khan was thus served with a summons by a Delhi court, directing him to appear there on April 20. Khan allegedly failed to reply to the subpoenas that were used to question him on January 23, January 31, February 9, February 19, February 26, and March 4, according to the Enforcement Division.
