In a surprising turn of events, the much-anticipated film "Fighter," starring Bollywood icons Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, is encountering hurdles in its international release. The film, set to hit theaters worldwide on January 25, 2024, has stirred immense excitement among fans eager to witness the dynamic pairing of Hrithik and Deepika for the first time on the silver screen.

However, disappointment looms for fans in Gulf countries, as reports suggest that "Fighter" has been banned in these nations, except for the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This unexpected setback has left fans in the Gulf with a prolonged wait, eagerly anticipating an official statement from the film's makers.

Trade analyst and producer Girish Johar shed light on the situation, confirming that the film has been denied release in Gulf countries, excluding the UAE. Interestingly, in the UAE, "Fighter" is set to hit theaters with a PG15 classification, adding an extra layer of anticipation for audiences in the region.

An undisclosed source from the "Fighter" team, as reported by news agency ANI, substantiated the news about the film's restricted release in the Gulf. Despite this setback, the makers are yet to release an official statement, leaving fans in suspense.

While the Gulf awaits the green light, the Indian release of "Fighter" remains unaffected, scheduled for January 25. Sacnilk.com reports impressive pre-release ticket sales, with over 1,60,000 tickets sold for Day 1, accumulating a staggering Rs 5 crore so far. These promising figures have prompted trade analysts to predict "Fighter" as the potential first blockbuster of 2024.

Intriguingly, the film boasts a stellar cast, including veteran actor Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, Akshay Oberoi, Talat Aziz, and Aamir Naik, alongside the titular stars Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone.
