Four people were found dead in a home on Moharimet Drive, Madbury, New Hampshire, in what officials describe as suspicious deaths. Police have cordoned off the area but say there is no public threat. Authorities have released no victim details, while a separate stabbing case in Canaan is also under investigation.

A quiet neighborhood in Madbury, New Hampshire, was shaken after four people were found dead inside a residence on Moharimet Drive. State Police confirmed that troopers were carrying out an active investigation on Monday, with the Attorney General’s Office taking charge of all updates.

Authorities have described the case as “suspicious deaths” but stressed that there is no ongoing threat to the public. Residents were told to expect a heavy police presence in the area for several hours. Social media footage from local reporters showed police vehicles cordoning off the street as investigators moved in and out of the home.

The Attorney General’s Office has so far withheld details about the identities of the victims or the circumstances surrounding their deaths. Media outlets including NBC Boston reported that officials expect to release more information once preliminary findings are confirmed.

Madbury, a small town of fewer than 2,000 residents located in Strafford County, is not known for violent crime. State statistics show zero violent incidents were reported there in 2024, making the case especially alarming for the tight-knit community. The town lies just a short drive from the University of New Hampshire, which has not been reported as directly involved in the investigation.

Meanwhile, the Attorney General’s Office also confirmed that a separate probe is underway into the death of 67-year-old William Colao in Canaan, New Hampshire. Colao was found dead in his home with an apparent stab wound on August 17. Authorities have not indicated whether the two cases are connected.
