Google is set to revolutionize language learning for Indian Android users by introducing an innovative feature in Google Search. This new offering is part of Google's strategic expansion plan, with a specific focus on countries like India, Argentina, Colombia, Indonesia, Mexico, and Venezuela. The feature aims to enhance users' speaking skills in English.

The language learning tool enables users to engage in real-life speaking practice sessions, which are short lasting between 3 to 5 minutes. Participants receive personalized feedback and can even opt for daily reminders to consistently improve their language skills. Google's collaboration with language experts, teachers, and linguists ensures an effective and tailored learning experience.

The primary objective is to help learners practice vocabulary in practical contexts, employing spaced repetition as a proven method to boost speaking confidence. Behind this feature lies the technology of Deep Aligner, a unique deep-learning model developed in partnership with the Google Translate team.

Not stopping at language learning, Google is expanding its services in India. In an exciting development, the tech giant is bringing the convenience of booking metro tickets to Indian users through its widely-used Google Maps app. This initiative results from Google's deepening collaboration with the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), India's open e-commerce network.

This means that soon, Indian commuters will have the ease of booking metro tickets right from their Google Maps app. The move aligns with Google's commitment to enhancing user experience and making daily tasks more accessible and efficient. The revelation came during the Google for India event, where Google demonstrated its ongoing dedication to improving the digital experience for Indian users.

In the coming days, Google plans to expand its language learning feature to more countries and languages, making it a valuable tool for learners worldwide. Additionally, Indian commuters can eagerly anticipate the convenience of booking metro tickets seamlessly through the Google Maps app, marking another step towards a more connected and digitally empowered India.
