Governors of 13 States Appointed:-
President Droupadi Murmu appointed 13 new Governors for various states and union territories of the country on 12th February 2023. While making the appointments, President Draupadi Murmu has also shuffled 7 governors. President Droupadi Murmu appointed 13 new Governors collectively while also accepting resignations from the governors of the state of Maharashtra and union territory of Ladakh. The former governors who have resigned were Bhagat Singh Koshyari and Radha Krishnan Mathur. When President Droupadi Murmu appointed 13 new Governors, Ramesh Bais was named as the new governor of Maharashtra while Brig (Dr) B.D. Mishra (Retd) was named as the Lt. governor of Ladakh.
