Hyderabad witnessed a chilling incident where a retired Army jawan, Gurumurthy, allegedly killed his wife, Madhavi, after an argument turned fatal. The gruesome crime occurred in Venkateswara Colony, under Meerpet Police Station, Rangareddy district.

Madhavi, 35, was reported missing by her mother on January 18, sparking a police investigation. According to reports, Gurumurthy, currently working as a security guard, confessed to killing his wife in a fit of rage on January 16. He allegedly dismembered her body in the bathroom, boiled the parts in a pressure cooker, and ground the bones using a pestle. Over three days, the remains were boiled and packed before being disposed of in a nearby lake.

Police teams, including canine units, are currently conducting an extensive search for the remains in the lake. However, no physical evidence has yet been recovered. Despite Gurumurthy’s confession, officials have classified the case as a missing person investigation until concrete evidence confirms the murder.

The couple had been married for 13 years and resided with their two children, who were reportedly away at the time of the crime. Gurumurthy is alleged to have staged the disappearance, informing Madhavi’s parents that she had gone missing.
