We lost a great and noble man 75 years ago, but should we lose his contributions and teachings? As a nation that has seen the darkest of days under colonial rulers and fought for over 200 years for freedom, today might be the easiest time for us to sit down in the comfort of our homes and forget these revolutionary leaders. After setting his feet on Indian soil in 1915, Gandhi united the masses from the four corners of the country into one single goal: Freedom. The grit behind the Champaran movement or the mastermind behind the Khilafat movement, Gandhi left no stone unturned in the pursuit of freedom. The most admirable part, however, is his policy to remain honest with his ideologies, no matter what. The way he carried our freedom struggle in the path of truth and ahimsa over the decades is unforgettable, let alone commendable.
