 75th Death Anniversary of Gandhiji:-
30th January 1948, a day when the sun shined, yet the nation was covered in darkness. The state was mourning over the tragic assassination of everyone's beloved "Bapu." He was assassinated by Nathuram Godse, a member of the Hindu Mahasabha, in the compound of Birla House, New Delhi. The site was later named "Gandhi Smriti." He was shot three times at point-blank range and finally gave up on his wounds.    75th Death Anniversary of Gandhiji 75th Death Anniversary of Gandhiji-75th Death Anniversary of Gandhiji We lost a great and noble man 75 years ago, but should we lose his contributions and teachings? As a nation that has seen the darkest of days under colonial rulers and fought for over 200 years for freedom, today might be the easiest time for us to sit down in the comfort of our homes and forget these revolutionary leaders. After setting his feet on Indian soil in 1915, Gandhi united the masses from the four corners of the country into one single goal: Freedom. The grit behind the Champaran movement or the mastermind behind the Khilafat movement, Gandhi left no stone unturned in the pursuit of freedom. The most admirable part, however, is his policy to remain honest with his ideologies, no matter what. The way he carried our freedom struggle in the path of truth and ahimsa over the decades is unforgettable, let alone commendable.   75th Death Anniversary of Gandhiji 75th Death Anniversary of Gandhiji-75th Death Anniversary of Gandhiji What he left for us in his teachings is in abundance. If we keep the debate on his greatness aside for once and solely focus on his way of living and preachings, we will surely see the "Mahatma." For his contributions to the country are massive and can't be reimbursed; we can only walk in his footsteps and make our beloved nation a little better every day.
