In a significant announcement by the Election Commission, the schedule for the much-awaited Lok Sabha Elections 2024 was unveiled, set to unfold across India in seven phases. The electoral saga is scheduled to commence from April 19, with the culmination anticipated on June 4, when the results will be revealed.

Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar, accompanied by the newly-appointed Election Commissioners Gyanesh Kumar and Sukhbir Singh Sandhu, revealed the long-anticipated poll dates for the 2024 parliamentary elections. This announcement marked the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct, heralding the onset of rigorous electoral activities across the nation.

The electoral canvas will witness the participation of a vast electorate, with over 97 crore registered voters and 96.8 crore electors poised to shape the political landscape. The electoral machinery boasts 10.5 lakh polling stations, 1.5 crore polling officials and security personnel, 55 lakh EVMs, and 4 lakh vehicles, orchestrating the democratic exercise with precision.

The electoral battleground is delineated across the diverse topography of the nation, spanning various states and union territories. From the vibrant lands of Tamil Nadu to the majestic terrains of Rajasthan, from the cultural tapestry of Uttar Pradesh to the serene landscapes of Uttarakhand, the electoral fervor will permeate every corner.
