On 29th January (Sunday), the Indian Women’s Cricket Team won the World Cup at the ICC T20 Under 19 World Cup Tournament at Potchefstroom, South Africa. The young Indian Women’s Cricket Team was headed by Shafali Verma as captain and beat England’s team by 7 wickets with 36 balls still remaining! Indian Women Cricket
The ICC T20 Under 19 World Cup Tournament was organized for the first time in 2023 and the Indian Women’s Cricket Team has come out with flying colors in the inaugural tournament itself. The fourth ball of the first over itself turned out to be a catch out for Team England. Archana Devi, the Indian spin bowler won another wicket in the fourth over. The fall of wickets rapidly began after this juncture. Cricketer Soumya Tiwary also stole a run-out wicket with a direct hit on the stump.
