Arson attempt, India-US relations, Racism, Caste discrimination: What American delegates have to say?

An arson attempt was reported on 2nd July, 2023 at San Francisco Indian Consulate. The fire was reportedly set between 1:30-2:30 am (local time) on Sunday morning.
The attempted vandalism was by pro-khalistan supporters. The fire was suppressed soon by the San Francisco department and the damage was limited as no staffers were reportedly injured in the attack.
The attempt came after months of previous vandalism by the same group at the same SF Indian Consulate, which was on March 19, 2023. The protestors then damaged the department, raised pro-khalistan slogans and installed two so-called khalistani flags in the premises.
The US condemned this act by saying that violence against diplomatic facilities or foreign diplomats in the U.S. is a criminal offense.
Congressman Shri Thanedar by strongly condemning the attack said that the physical attacks on an institution posing threats to its workers is totally unacceptable. The disagreement needs to be addressed in a democratic and peaceful manner. He also mentioned the US must provide the required protection to these democratic institutions.
Shri Thanedar also addressed about the Indian-US relations by mentioning that two are biggest democracies in the world. He mentioned that it's for both the countries to work with a deep trust in each other and help each other economically. To address the allegations of minority attacks in India he said that there is a lot of misinformation and baseless attacks on india.
Mentioning the notable accomplishment that India has achieved, the congressman suggested India and US to work together against China's military and economic aggression.
By giving remarkable importance to the relationship between the US and Hindu community, Rich McCormick mentioned that his district has almost 100,000 doctors, lawyers, businessmen which is amazing. He has been very much outspoken against the intimidation, racism and caste discrimination and mentions to take them on publicly and privately.
Pushpita Prasad, Member of COHNA (Coalition of Hindus of North America on Hindus in America), stated that due lack of safety when the statutory place like a consulate and a diplomat gets attacked openly the Hindu American community goes into hibernation and becomes self centered. They have to be very cautious while organizing public events like temple gatherings and gathering to worship.
The developing concerns regarding safety of the Indian community in the USA are very high which needs to be addressed and appropriate actions must be taken.
