station under section 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code and section 6 of the POCSO Act.
The accused, Mohd Azhar, a 30-year-old resident of Jaitpur, has been arrested. It was
mentioned that a cab was engaged to transport the victim to Lady Irwin Senior Secondary
School in Defence Colony. The Delhi school is a significant aspect of the incident, given that the
assault took place during the victim's commute to and from school.
According to Rajesh Deo, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southeast), the victim's mother was
informed by her daughter that the cab driver, Azhar, had been inappropriately touching her
private parts during her commute from Delhi school for nearly a year. The official reported that
an FIR was registered, and the accused was arrested following the complaint. The Deputy
Commissioner added that the investigation is ongoing.

According to the police report, a 58-year-old man is accused of assaulting an 11-year-old girl in
the Ghazipur area of Delhi on Monday. The Ghazipur police station received a PCR call on
Friday reporting the sexual assault of a minor girl. In response, a police team was swiftly sent to
the scene to conduct an investigation
According to Amrutha Guguloth, Deputy Commissioner of Police (East), the victim, who is a
Class 6 student at a government school in Delhi, reported that she had visited her aunt's home
located close to her residence on the morning of the assault. On her way back home, the
perpetrator allegedly dragged her into his home near GD Colony, stripped her naked, and made
inappropriate physical advances toward her.
The Delhi police registered the case of rape under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code and
Section 6 of the POCSO Act, following a complaint by the victim. The accused, identified as Md
Taqi Ahmed, was arrested from a paper market in Delhi, based on a secret tip-off. Ahmed, who
owns the house where the assault took place, was found to be residing in the Sarita Vihar area
at the time of the arrest.
The police have also stated that they are conducting a thorough investigation to ascertain if
there are any other victims of Ahmed, who may have been assaulted by him in a similar
manner. The police have urged anyone with information about such incidents to come forward and report them.
Meanwhile, the victim has been provided with medical assistance and counseling, and the
police have assured her family of all necessary support in ensuring justice is served. The Delhi
police have also appealed to the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities in
their area.
