"Jawan" Gains ₹1.2 Crore in US Pre-Release Bookings, 15 Days Prior to Premiere

While Sunny Deol's "Gadar 2" prepares to surpass the box office achievements of his earlier release "Pathaan," Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming film is already making a substantial impact at the box office. Set to premiere on September 7, "Jawan" has impressively garnered ₹1.2 crore through advance bookings in the US alone, as reported by ETimes.


According to the English daily, "Jawan" has successfully secured close to 9700 ticket sales across 367 venues throughout America for the film's opening day in September. Out of these, a substantial 9200 tickets were allocated for Hindi screenings, with an additional 360 tickets for Telugu showings. The Tamil language screenings contributed 200 tickets to the overall count, as detailed in the report.


As assessed by trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan, the forthcoming film "Jawan" has lucratively secured ₹1.2 crore through advance bookings specifically in the US market. His enthusiastic announcement on social media platform X echoed, "#Jawan advance bookings are garnering tremendous response in the USA, and it has successfully CROSSED the remarkable $150K milestone. The advance sales have reached an impressive sum of $151,187, spanning across 367 different locations, encompassing 1607 showings, and totaling 9691 tickets booked. 


As anticipation surges, it's clear that #ShahRukhKhan is on the brink of etching his name in Bollywood history by accomplishing a remarkable feat - becoming the first actor to achieve two opening days with earnings exceeding ₹💯 crore, following #Pathaan."
