Karan Johar's 'Rocky Aur Rani' Opens with Rs 11.5 Cr, Falls Short of Oppenheimer on Day 1!"

Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani

Amidst the mounting anticipation surrounding Karan Johar's ability to deliver a much-needed blockbuster to Bollywood with "Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani," the film starring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh finally graced theaters worldwide on a Friday.

On the first day of its release, Karan Johar's film "Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani" made its presence felt at the box office.

Taking a bold move, the movie premiered just a week after the 'Barbenheimer' clash. Interestingly, this decision seems to favor the KJo film, as the buzz around Greta Gerwig's Barbie has dwindled in India, while still maintaining interest in other parts of the world. At present, "Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani" faces competition solely from Christopher Nolan's "Oppenheimer."

According to the early estimates by industry tracker Sacnilk, "Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani" managed to rake in an impressive Rs 11.5 crore from Indian theaters on Friday. However, the film's opening day collection falls short of Christopher Nolan's movie, which opened with Rs 14.5 crore at the Indian box office.
