The incident has sparked a frantic rescue operation to save the lives of those aboard. With the urgency of the situation, all other boat races have been halted, diverting attention solely to the rescue mission.

Just a few months prior, Kerala experienced another devastating incident when a tourist boat capsized in Malappuram. The ill-fated vessel, carrying approximately 40 passengers, tragically claimed the lives of 22 individuals, most of them innocent children.
