India Imam Organization received a fatwa and life threats for attending the
Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla at Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The Imam, who
went to Ayodhya for harmony and to spread a message of love, now finds himself
at the center of controversy.
The
Chief Imam revealed that the fatwa was issued on social media, urging imams and
mosque authorities to boycott him. His mobile number was disclosed in the
fatwa, escalating the threats. Despite the challenges, Ilyasi remains
steadfast, refusing to apologize or resign from his position.
In response to the criticism, the Chief Imam urged those who disapprove of his actions to "go to Pakistan."
